At SOUNDRAW, we love hearing how our platform empowers creators in their musical journeys. Today, we're excited to share the story of Jahmane Bright, better known as Yorkie, a music producer from the Bronx with over 21 years of experience.
He’s worked with platinum artists like Fat Joe, French Montana, and Cory Gunz and has founded his own business, Triangle Recording Studios. Here’s how Yorkie uses SOUNDRAW to continue making a difference in the music industry.
A Bronx-Born Producer on a Mission
I’m Jahmane Bright, aka Yorkie, from the Bronx. I’ve been producing music professionally for over 21 years. I’ve had the privilege of working with artists like Fat Joe and French Montana, and even spent time at Sony Music and several NYC studios before starting my own studio—Triangle Recording Studios.
Growing up in the Bronx, Yorkie saw firsthand the powerful effect music could have on people's moods and lives. "It was tough in the Bronx, but music always brought joy. I wanted to be part of that, to help lift people up with my sound.
The Inspiration Behind His Music
Seeing people use their talents to feed their families and take care of their loved ones—that’s what keeps me going. My journey began when Young Guru, Jay Z’s engineer, helped me set up his first Pro Tools kit. From that moment, I knew I wanted to use music to change lives, and for over two decades, I’ve done just that.
Discovering SOUNDRAW
My journey with SOUNDRAW began as I searched for new ways to innovate and keep my music fresh. SOUNDRAW’s intuitive platform and endless variety of beats caught my attention, making it an essential tool in my creative process.
SOUNDRAW makes it easy to explore new sounds and ideas quickly. It’s like having an extra producer in the studio—always ready to inspire. The ability to customize tracks on the fly has allowed me to experiment more freely, blending different genres and creating music that resonates with a broad audience.
Triangle Recording Studios and SOUNDRAW
At Triangle Recording Studios, I incorporate SOUNDRAW into my daily workflow. It helps me and my team stay ahead of the curve by providing a fresh source of inspiration. With SOUNDRAW, we can create mood-based beats in seconds, which helps speed up the production process and gives our artists the exact vibe they're looking for.
For me, SOUNDRAW has become more than just a tool—it’s part of a creative arsenal that helps me stay versatile and innovative. Whether I’m working on a commercial project or helping an artist find their sound, SOUNDRAW adds an extra layer of creativity to all tracks.
I produced a lot of the songs for the first SOUNDRAW x OTR RAW RAP CHALLENGE and hosted the live event. Together with Yorkie, SOUNDRAW could empower artists to express themselves, perform, and get a chance to snag one of those spots on On The Radar.
